Design Engineer
Design engineer needed for manufacturer of processing and materials handling and storage equipment. Primary focus on equipment design and systems integration. Structural steel engineering and steel-reinforced concrete design a plus. Project engineering responsibilities may also be assigned.
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD programs is a must. A degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, manufacturing engineering, or another technical discipline is required. Familiarity with the use of other computer software, including Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Project, FEA software and others is a plus.
Experience with metal fabrication, welding, machining and machinery assembly is preferred. A willingness to travel to project sites on occasion will be required. Design experience with process equipment, tanks, storage bins, conveyance equipment, steel structures and the related parts to assemble them is highly desirable. Cross training in the integration of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls is also a plus.
