Ferrell-Ross Roll Manufacturing now offers
FloMore heavy-duty Hard Car Unloading Systems. These
systems are designed to expedite the unloading of hard to unload
rail cars. Our Hard Car Systems minimize the need to
perform air wand bridge-breaking and other demanding labor
associated with inducing flow of product to empty bulk materials
from rail cars.
In addition to saving labor costs, the FloMore
Hard Car Unloading Systems are a potential cost saver in other
ways. Demurrage charges add up fast for rail cars held on
a siding longer than the time allotted by railroads. A
Ferrell-Ross FloMore Hard Car system can significantly
shorten the time it takes to process hard cars, allowing more
time to unload all of the cars within the allocated time.
Distiller’s grains, meal products, pellets,
roughages, dusty grains exposed to moisture and other fibrous or
hygroscopic commodities subjected to compaction or bridging may
result in a “hard car”. The FloMore Hard Car System
can handle those products.
The system is designed to straddle the tracks to
ensure a sturdy, four-point footing. Engineered from
structural steel beams, structural steel tubing, and steel
plates, the system is rugged enough to handle the most difficult
unloading tasks.
The hydraulic arm used in the hard car system has
a 180-degree swing radius and is a proven, heavy-duty product.
The specially designed stinger apparatus is designed to operate
under extremely tough conditions. The covered operator platform
houses easy to use controls.
